The hurdles facing today's new technology graduates are the same as with other industries. One of the largest hurdles for new grads in preparing a first IT resume is the "no-experience" fence. A hi-tech grad may not have any formal experience working with technology in a real-world situation. While this hurdle is best handled long before you graduate by seeking part-time or full-time employment in technology or an internship, the fact remains that you may be coming out of college with literally no hands-on experience in your major.

Mounting student costs, shrinking job prospects and receding salaries in many legal professions are barely causing a dent in the steady stream of students deciding to enroll in law school this year.Nationally, law school applications are up 4.3 percent over last year, according to the American Bar Association. At Mississippi College’s School of Law, applications have gone up 14 percent.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Florida has a 10.6 unemployment rate. Employ Florida Marketplace, however, shows that job projections to 2016 look solid in South Florida for certain trade jobs, such as automotive technicians, beauty care professionals and nurses, among others.
